H.E.R.E. is used as a program and service identifier. Some words or phrases used on this website may be general descriptive language and may not be independently protectable. However, the original website content, program structure, curriculum, forms, written materials, designs, graphics, and educational resources may not be copied, reproduced, adapted, distributed, published, represented, or used to create another program, training, website, event, curriculum, or publication without prior written permission.

Nothing on this website grants permission to use H.E.R.E. materials, language, structure, forms, graphics, educational resources, or original written content for another organization, program, training, event, website, or publication without written consent.

All third-party names, organizations, logos, and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

This notice is intended to mark ownership of H.E.R.E.’s original materials and website content while avoiding any claim that every general word or phrase on the site is independently protected.

Program Disclaimer

H.E.R.E. is a voluntary experiential learning and community engagement program. Participation in H.E.R.E. does not create employment, professional licensure, clinical supervision, therapy, counseling, case management, legal representation, medical care, financial advising, or any expert-client relationship.

Information shared through H.E.R.E. is for educational, community connection, and program participation purposes only. It should not be understood as professional, legal, medical, clinical, financial, emergency, or crisis advice.

Participants, fellows, facilitators, and community partners are expected to act with care, respect, and good judgment while participating in H.E.R.E.

Voluntary Participation and Program Expectations

Participation in H.E.R.E. is voluntary. Participants understand that community-based learning and service may involve travel, public events, volunteer settings, interaction with community organizations, and activities outside of a traditional classroom environment.

Participants are responsible for communicating concerns, limitations, scheduling conflicts, accessibility needs, safety concerns, or changes in availability as early as possible.

Participants are expected to follow H.E.R.E. expectations, community partner site rules, event instructions, safety guidance, and all applicable laws. H.E.R.E. may remove a participant from program activities if their conduct creates a safety concern, disrupts the cohort, harms community relationships, or violates program expectations.

School, Placement, Service Learning, and Volunteer Requirements

Some students may hope to use H.E.R.E. toward a placement, service learning, volunteer, course, or program requirement. Students are responsible for confirming whether H.E.R.E. meets the requirements of their course, program, instructor, department, school, college, or institution.

Acceptance into H.E.R.E. is not guaranteed. H.E.R.E. may not meet every placement, service learning, volunteer, course, or institutional requirement. Students using H.E.R.E. for required hours should have a backup plan.

Community Partner Notice

Community partners are independent organizations, programs, groups, or individuals who may share learning opportunities, service opportunities, mentorship, or community knowledge with H.E.R.E. participants.

H.E.R.E. does not control the policies, practices, services, eligibility requirements, schedules, safety procedures, decisions, or actions of community partner organizations.

Participation with a community partner may be subject to that partner’s own rules, requirements, forms, background checks, waivers, supervision, or participation standards.

Privacy and Contact Form Notice

Information submitted through this website, contact forms, interest forms, or application forms may be used to respond to questions, review applications, communicate about H.E.R.E., follow up with applicants, coordinate with participants, or communicate with potential community partners.

H.E.R.E. does not intentionally sell personal contact information.

Users should not submit confidential case details, protected health information, emergency requests, crisis information, or urgent service needs through this website.

H.E.R.E. may use third-party platforms, including website hosting tools, form tools, email tools, or document tools, to collect and manage information. Those platforms may have their own privacy practices and terms.

Emergency Notice

H.E.R.E. is not an emergency service, crisis line, case management program, counseling service, or direct service provider.

If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or contact the appropriate local emergency service. If you are in crisis, contact a crisis hotline, local crisis response service, or emergency provider in your area.

No Guarantee of Participation, Placement, or Outcome

Submitting an application, interest form, or contact form does not guarantee acceptance into H.E.R.E., placement with a community partner, completion of service hours, access to a specific opportunity, or any particular educational, professional, academic, volunteer, or community outcome.

Program details, schedules, partners, service opportunities, requirements, and expectations may change based on community partner availability, program capacity, safety considerations, weather, transportation, participant needs, or other circumstances.
